The cake boxes were designed to evoke a cheap and cheerful aesthetic; a (gourmet) fast-food/diner happiness that is warm, homely, tasty and at at the same time — familiar and comfortable. The no-frills (yet pretty) approach, is further underlined by the functionality on the box's exterior: sections demarcating order numbers and flavours/specifics are to be written in marker on the back on the box as seen above.
